July 5th is the 75th birthday of our NHS, sadly it is not a time to celebrate. Now, more than ever, it is vital that we stand together to defend our NHS from those who seek to undermine its core values. We need a fully public NHS – because this is how we protect the pay, conditions and it’s also how we protect it for patients too. It’s the only way the NHS will survive.
This isn’t time to ‘reform or retreat’ , it’s time to return to founding principles. Join us on 5th July to recognise the great success of the NHS in the recent past – and fight for an NHS fit to work in and fit for purpose for another 75 years and more.

WHAT DO WE STAND FOR?
In 2010, after a decade of investment, our NHS was delivering its best-ever performance: after more than a decade of austerity – despite heroic efforts by staff – it has sunk to its worst-ever. The problems were there before the pandemic but have been deepened by the continued high level of Covid infections. We need change now.
WE DEMAND:
- Emergency funding now
- Invest in a fully publicly owned NHS & guarantee free healthcare for future generations
- Pay staff properly: without fair pay, staffing shortages will cost lives
